Backpacker Travel Tips 3
1. Want more savings? Invest in an HI card or a backpacker card that’s accepted in many hostels around the world! These cards will give you discounts of about a dollar per night. This really adds up if you’re planning to stay for long periods of time!
2. Save on transportation costs and ask the hostel that you’re staying at via email if they do pick-ups from the airport or terminal before you get to your destination.
3. Some hostels have free food because other backpackers leave theirs behind because it gets too heavy. Take advantage of these and save up on what you would otherwise spend for meals.
4. Bring some plastic flipflops and wear them when you shower. You don’t know the dirt and grime on those tiles
5. Be considerate of your roommates. Don’t rustle plastic bags full of stuff especially while they’re asleep. Invest in a cloth bag instead
