Expecting and Flying
Traveling while pregnant? Read up on these tips for a trip that’s smooth for you and your baby!
1.Remember to get your doctor’s clearance before you travel. It is important to bring your medical certificate of clearance. Airline will usually ask to see this, to make sure that it is really safe for you to fly.
2.Don’t be stressed while waiting for flight times. Bring an ipod with you with soothing and relaxing music, or maybe books about pregnancy, motherhood and your baby. These are excellent ways to pass the time.
3.Make sure you have adequate food on your trip- Your baby’s nutrition is most important during this time. Carry your own food from home while traveling and stay away from junk food which could aggravate your sensitive stomach.
4. Take someone you trust along- it’s a bit scary and daunting to be traveling alone while you’re pregnant. Get someone you trust to go with you. This person can help with tasks that you may have difficulty with and can tire you out like carrying bags.
