Journeyman Winterland Ratings In
I have always thought that Journeyman is an underrated show. It carries a great deal of depth, suspense, and good compelling storylines. With that being said, we don’t see the ratings doing a whole lot as of late. The first week or two we saw Journeyman in the #2 slot above The Bachelor, but since then it has consistently taken the back seat. Here are the ratings for this past episode (Winterland) of Journeyman.
At 10 p.m. CBS led with a 4.6 for “CSI: Miami,” with ABC still second with a 3.4 for “The Bachelor.” NBC was third with a 2.5 for “Journeyman” and Univision fourth with a 1.6 for “Cristina.”
So will the rating improve? More then likely they will. The Bachelor is hitting its finale, and following that there is no reason why Journeyman won’t gain a better following. I am just not sure about the 10pm time slot on Monday nights.

I would love to see Journeyman on TV for 10 more years. It’s a grown-up show for grown-up’s. I will hope that your scenario works out — somehow, people need to know that Journeyman is a love story, among true characters.

With the writers’ strike being covered and how it will help Journeyman, I am seeing a lot of positive comments on the show on other blogs from fans like us. With the end of The Bachelor, I think it is bound to improve: there are just so many other things falling into place for this series. I do agree that 10 p.m. is a tad late though: 8.30, 9 or 9.30 p.m. would be better.

I don’t mind 10 p.m., myself; I don’t know of a more grown-up show on television, and the later time gives couples time to put their kids to bed.
As for the future, the writers seem to be pulling together a lot of threads quickly. I don’t know if this was part of their original plan or if they do not believe that they will be renewed. At the same time, the atmosphere is getting darker — last week, Dan screamed, Katie cried, and Jack drank! Again, I don’t know if these are the originally conceived arcs for these characters or if things are getting bad sooner because the end is near.
Personally, I love the misery, because these are characters that I feel for, and the misery creates tension, and because I think that true love is proven through trial (and good writing is proven through hard answers!). But I could see new viewers being turned off. To their credit, the writers have not pulled any stunts that I might fear, that would turn the drama into melodrama.
I do see that we have at least three more episodes (the last of which may or may not have an ominous name). So I’m going to enjoy these three hours as if they were the last.

I enjoy the show and hope it makes it at least until season 2. I think the writer’s strike actually benefited the show, with no replacements being written NBC had to stay with it. Hopefully an audience will find it. There aren’t many well written, well acted shows on the air anymore

I agree with all of the post. I love this show and i am hoping that they dont cancel it. obviously questions will be raised regarding his ability to time travel and that he only seem to be able to travel as far as 30 years in the past but the story line that they have are great especially the past 2 episodes. i would like to see more about their history between livia and dan and where livia is living. i also would like to see if dan can travel to the future. i watch this show every monday and watch it again a few more times in the internet because i cant get enough of it. i just hope that people will wake up and see what a great show this is. Go Journeyman!!!!!!

I really dig this show. It is right behind CSI LV . The only two shows I try and watch. I am sure budgets keeps them from traveling back too far..costumes and set can be expensive. I would love to see Dan travel back further into history.
PS> MOOn Bloodgood is the most attractive woman on the planet!!
