Little is known about this little country. Maybe we should change that by looking at some facts about Peru!

1.Peru lies on the western coast of South America. It is bordered by the Pacific ocean on the west and lies along with Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil. Colombia and Chile. The capital of Peru is Lima

2.Peru is the heart of the Inca empire. Peruvian artistic traditions show influences of the Incan times. Machu Pichu is one of the more famous Incan architectural constructions.

3.If you want to get your feet moving in Peru, you better learn the Marinera, their national dance. Peru is generally a nation that loves to dance. They have interpretative dances, dances that speal of Religion and even dances of war! I guess it’s safe to get your dancing shoes on the ready!

4.The Peruvian diet consists mainly of maize, tomatoes and potatoes. They also partake in fruits like pineapple and lucuma. Anither popular dish is the cerviche, raw fish marinated in juice, vinegar, and some fruits and vegetables.

5.The people of Peru are very culturally diverse. They carry with them their Roman Catholic religion, but they haven’t forgotten the traditions of old. Expect to see an incorporation of the 2 traditions which makes for something very interesting and very uniquely Peruvian!
