For shopaholics, vacations don’t usually mean the sights, but the new malls, boutiques and shopping areas they can get into! Here are travel tips every shopaholic has to remember to maximize their shopping experience in a new city or country!

1.    Learn key phrases- this is useful if you’re going to a country with a different dialect. Learn to ask how much an item is, and of course, if it is possible to get a discount!
2.    Comfortable shopping shoes are key- we all want to look cute when shopping but you may have to cut your shopping trip short when your feet have developed blisters. Make sure you have comfy shoes that can stand up to long walks.
3.    Don’t forget to convert- if you can get the same item at home, then ask yourself where you can get it cheaper. If you can get it cheaper at home, or at around the same price, best skip it and look for something more worthwhile to spend on.
4.    Bring a calculator- this tip is especially useful for places who don’t speak your language. You can bargain with a calculator, or the seller can convey the price by punching in the numbers!
5.    Beware of the allowed luggage weight- You want to put your money to good use, and this doesn’t include paying for excess baggage fees! Beware of the limit and make sure your shopping purchases don’t exceed it!
